It's non-stick, cooks in reasonable time as we cut the meat not too thick after reading others' reviews. The distinctive egg shape and thick, heavy ceramic lining make these incredibly versatile and precise for grilling, roasting, baking and smoking using both direct and indirect heat. As an American Expat having lived abroad for more than half my life (as a professional chef) this little grill is fab for a small apartment with a small balcony! Tip: Keep an eye on your batteries, if your batteries are dying or one of them is dead, it can affect the fan power and lead to a slower heat up time, or uneven cooking.The main benefit of the Grill Hood is the built in thermometre, and it can be used for cooking other foods in a similar ‘oven baked’ way. However, if you want the burnt charcoal effect on your food, then the LotusGrill can most certainly do that for you too. But the thermometer goes up to 300°c and I’m certain we got up to at least 250°c (but may have been higher). The Lotus is built with a double walled construction so the outer frame and base never get hot, keeping your barbecue completely portable even when cooking…handy if the tide starts coming in!

Really happy with the cooking, exactly the same as using my Webster - The real benefit of using this BBQ was sticking everything in the dishwasher afterwards, once dry everything fits nicely in its own carry case.Can I recommend an Instagram hashtag / ways we can help promote… Post photos of foods cooked at home etc etc? When testing the LotusGrill with the pizza stone what temperatures were you able to get using the hood? Look for an indoor grill that can be simply disassembled to let you clean its components thoroughly.
