About this deal

Some "premium" whiskeys really are quite terrible, while some mass market products are good enough to pour into a decanter and serve to the Duke of Edinburgh. This allows the whisky to have a balanced combination between sweetness and smokiness without coming across as overly aggressive on either front. Pig’s Nose whisky is a unique and flavorful whiskey brand, distilled in Scotland and distributed around the world. The palate delivers more of that rich, creamy butterscotch, with the attendant toasty, dry wood from the nose.

Produced in specially selected first-fill oak casks, this is a smooth blended scotch that comes from blending Speyside, Islay and Lowland malts with gentle grain whiskies and aging for five years. The key to Pigs Nose Whiskey’s success is its unique blend of malts from Speyside, Highlands, Islay and Lowlands whiskeys. The mash liquefies saccharides present in malted barley, creating a liquid known as “wort” that contains much of what will eventually become alcohol. The first step in the distillation process for making Pig’s Nose Whiskey is milling, which is when malted barley grains are passed between steel rollers so they can be crushed into small bits and flakes.

It’s made up of Invergordon grain whisky as well as Speyside, Lowland and Islay malts – all of which have been aged for at least five years. The drink also managed to obtain a score of 97 points out of 100 at another prestigious rating system – an impressive accomplishment! The brand was created in 1993 by the independent bottler Richard Paterson, who assembled casks to give it a special aroma and taste. In the age of George Osborne (speaking of pig noses), that’s just a bit more than a loaf of bread or the bus fare to the job centre. Created by Richard Paterson, the chap behind the Sheep Dip range, comes another farmyard-themed whisky - it’s Pig’s Nose! This creates a sweet and smooth finish with heathery floral notes and underlying hints of smokey peat. A: An outstanding bottle of whiskey, but lacking that special something which makes for a true masterpiece.

The whisky has been gaining attention from whiskey connoisseurs for its delightful blend of smoky malt and peaty flavors. The light bodied spirit allows for easy sipping making this enjoyable even if you don’t usually like peaty whiskies. Pig’s Nose whisky is known for having hints of smoke from the Islay region of Scotland, and unusual notes of almond honeycomb.Irrespective of such a claim, all I can tell you is that it’s bottled at 40% and not at all expensive. Pigs Nose whiskey is a blended Scotch whiskey, created and produced by the Cardhu Distillery in Scotland. Still, if you’re intrigued, just hit the banner at the top and you can grab a bottle of this very cheaply indeed – trust your own tastebuds.

As legend goes, when the old farmer sampled his own whiskey it reminded him of the smell of a pig’s snout – thus becoming known as ‘pigs nose’. After some persistence it’s charms start to show through: a viscous creaminess materialises (from the grain whisky? I have never suckled a pig’s nose, nor do I have any intention to, but I understand everyone has a niche.Choose from our huge range of mini whiskies including single malt, blended, Irish, American and world whiskies. Since then Pigs Nose Whiskey has become renowned amongst whisky enthusiasts thanks to its unique flavour profile, smooth texture and no-nonsense packaging. This combination makes for a unique style of whisky that stands out – especially among other whisky brands.
