About this deal

What regulation is this (Scotland if it makes any difference), is he obliged to install it when he fits the door or can we do it ourselves later, and if we just leave it as steps what are the implications of that, particularly of we ever sell? Trouble is some of the existing cabinets are fitted close to the wall and i don't want the new doors hitting the wall. Cupboard door restrictors are fitted to the inside of a cabinet door and can be used to restrict the door from opening up past 90 degrees.

The restrictors are complementary insertion pieces for all Titus 110 and 170 hinges and are very easy to mount. We were planning some decking but not at the same height as the house floor, probably just a little below the height of the step nearest the outdoor ground level. Mine too, but if yours (like mine) opens out to a flat patio or path rather than steps down then it already complies with the rules.

They are made from high quality steel for strength and durability, providing a lifetime of trouble dree use. My front door opens outwards and I hate it, it blows in the wind and just about knocks people off their feet when I open it as they stand too close as they’re expecting it to open inwards. In response to Contributor W, the problem with replacing the filler is that it is grain matched to the door as well as to the trim piece around the corner. You don’t want your cabinet doors to hit each other because it can damage the door or the knob and will also make a surprisingly loud noise. Blum actually makes two different limiters, one for the standard 107 degree hinges and the 110 degree Blumotion hinges.

If you’ve installed cabinet restraint wires, you can change the angle by changing where the restraint is attached to the door or the cabinet. The door has a mirror on it, but is otherwise pretty lightweight (measures about 45cm wide, by 65cm high and 12mm or so deep). Doors and windows chap came to quote for some doors and windows - we asked for a back door that opens outwards and he said regulations state it needs a plinth of at least 90cm extending out from the doorway. Just trying to help, but could you replace the filler with a 3/4" wider filler then trim off 3/4" from the door and drawer front. Yes, the new knobs we just installed (and the knobs the previous owner had) bang right into another cabinet in one spot and into the wall in the other. All you need is a drill and a cabinet door restraint kit and you can have this fixed in 5 minutes flat!
